CONNIE CONLEY
Connie Conley has been a church musician since her early teens! She started by playing piano for Sunday School & Bible School, eventually learning to play an organ at her home church. Since then, she has worked in 6 churches, (more if you count organ substitute), and is currently the choir director at St. John’s.
With so many churches eliminating their programs, or using “praise/worship teams”, she is proud that St. John’s can continue to maintain a small, but mighty, choir! New members are always
welcome! Note reading ability certainly helps (but not required), as we do sing 4 part music whenever we can!
Connie’s former church musician jobs include organist, pianist, children’s choir director, cantor, and currently, adult choir Director.
Connie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and Music Education. In college, she received the award for Religious Leadership her senior year. Connie also maintains a private voice & piano studio of 20 students, and works at Touchmark as a Life Enrichment Assistant, providing music opportunities to the residents, who LOVE Friday afternoon sing a long time!
Connie was married for 32 years to her loving husband, Chuck, until his death in 2015, and have 2 daughters, a son-in-law and a new grandson.
